Hello! I’m Alexandra. I will be attending Princeton University next fall, having recently graduated from Hunter College High School and the Manhattan School of Music Precollege. I love to teach and tutor: last year I was a TA for a high school Latin class where I received formal training in pedagogy, and I was selected as a Writing Mentor, where I workshopped formal and personal writing, including college essays, with students in grades 7-12. I additionally have peer- and privately tutored math, Latin, ACT, and college applications one-on-one. I was also very involved with STEM throughout high school, conducting research at a biochem lab and representing Hunter at outreach events. In music, I was the principal violinist of the MSM Symphony Orchestra and performed and competed extensively on both piano and violin throughout the Tristate Area at venues like Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the UN. I have experience coaching chamber groups, leading orchestral sectionals, and teaching/tutoring. In my free time, I love to write, play lacrosse, and learn foreign languages!
